This 300 page book is a two- point data study conducted in 2004 in 5 New York City Skilled Nursing Facilities on 100 indivdiuals diagnosed with mild Alzheimer’s Disease. The research identifies the therapeutic effects that art/activities has on those walking into a nursing home for the first time and 365 days later.

Findings of this efficacy research study show significant and positive correlations between those who participate in therapeutic recreation/art activities to higher levels of cognition and psychosocial wellbeing after 365 days.  This book includes an extensive references and other international studies that utilized the on cognition, aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
