F​ or the past thirty years, Linda Levine Madori, PhD, has worked in the field of Health Care as a professor, therapist, advisor, researcher, supervisor, and innovator of new psychological approach, the TTAP Method® which utilizes the arts, the brain, and cognition. Since 1991, Dr. Levine Madori has been an international speaker for the People to People Ambassador Leader program, and the St. Thomas Aquinas and Education First, presenting educational classes and lectures in more 30 countries including Finland, England, France, Spain, Switzerland, Indonesia, Lithuanian, Prague, Russia, China, and Italy. Having credentials in both Therapeutic Recreation (#11894) and Art Therapy (ATR-BC#000971-1), she has had the unique experience to be professionally active on the state, national, and international level, moving professional healthcare fields forward into the 21st century. She has chaired the Therapeutic Recreation and the Creativity and Arts Track of the American Society on Aging, developed professional educational intensives for the American Art Therapy Association, and implemented workshops and professional panel presentations for the Society of Arts in Healthcare for psychotherapists, educators, and therapists.

Dr. Levine Madori has worked for the past 30 years at St Thomas Aquinas College, where she received tenured full Professor in 2005. Her dissertation research in Alzheimer’s disease, cognitive functioning, and psychosocial well-being is the basis for Therapeutic Thematic Arts Programming for the Older Population (TTAP Method®), which was published by Health Professionals Press in 2007.

In 2007, Dr. Levine Madori was awarded her first Fulbright Senior Specialist Scholarship and taught her new therapeutic approach in New Zealand and Australia. In 2009, she received a second Fulbright Award through the Finland Fulbright Office to create and teach a certificate course on the TTAP Method® to health professionals in Finland. This training course is now used throughout the United States and internationally.
Recognized for her service in the field of Aging, Dr. Levine Madori was the recipient of the New York State Therapeutic Recreation Association Distinguished Service Award, and the New York State Innovative Program Award. The TTAP Method was awarded The New York State METRO Most Influential Program Award. Dr. Levine Madori received a statewide grant from The New York State Office on Aging to train healthcare professionals regionally in the TTAP Method ® for 3 years across New York.

Dr. Levine Madori received Academic Excellence Award from the St. Thomas Aquinas Board of Trustee’s in 2011. Her second national publication, Transcending Dementia (Health Professions Press) won the National Book Merit Award in 2014. Dr. Levine Madori continues privately practice as a psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey. Since 2020, Dr. Levine Madori has utilized on-line ZOOM interventions for both teaching and therapy.

Her newest books, Caregiving for Adults with Cognitive Impairments and the Caregiver Workbook, offer a new approach to communication and socialization for both the caregiver and the client. It is a research-based approach that uses art, music, and reminiscing to engage the brain, enhancing emotional connections. The Caregiver Workbook supplies the caregiver with pages to document conversations and memories during all interventions. The Caregiver Workbook supplies the caregiver with pages additionally adds to the efficacy of the caregiving industry by providing documentation on interactions for family to read.
